Bishop Makarios, the Bishop of the Coptic Orthodox Diocese in Minya and Abū Qurqās, stated that the Copts faced seduction, terror attempts, and abductions to force them to convert to Islam by extremists. He said that when they failed in that they started to loot, sabotage, and murder. In all these attempts the Copts proved that they are bonded to “Christianity”. Extremists were very happy while they were killing people and destroying the churches, as per his statements, and that they believe that it is important to eliminate Christians.
