General Muhammad Nūr Al Dīn, the Assistant Minister of Interior, stated that there is a total of 11 police stations in al-Minya and that 7 were burnt in the events that followed the dispersal of the Nahdah and Rāba’ah sit-ins. He stated that extremists have formed shields, extorted Christians and burnt the two big churches in al-Minya.
