The Nūr party has threatened to pull out of the Constituent Assembly after his requests were rejected. Sharīf Taha, the spokesman of the party, stated that there were agreements concerning Article 219 of the Constitution, but the requests of the party were not achieved. Salāh Abdul Ma’būd, the reserve representative of the Nūr Party in the Constituent Assembly, said that the party has its reservations about the phrase “civil (secular) governance” as well as the interpretation of sharī’ah according to the Supreme Constitutional Court’s view (Muhammad al-Fikī, al-Shurūq, Nov. 29, p. 7).  Read original text in Arabic.
