Egyptian police were imposing tight security measures on Wednesday in the village of Shaykh al-Arab in Jirjā, Sohag, following a fight between a Muslim family and another Christian one. The persons engaged in the fight were a Muslim retired policeman and his son and three Christian brothers. According to the report, the retired policeman is member to an Islamist group. The findings revealed that the dispute over the property of a house erupted in clashes in which the Muslim cut the hand of the Christian beside other severe injuries in the head after the latter refused to waive his property claim to his Muslim neighbor.  The injured was taken to the central hospital in Suhāg.
