The sectarian strife between Nazlit ‘Ābid and Hiwārtah in al-Minya, that has left 4 dead and many others injured, has ended. A reconciliation session was held yesterday in the village of ‘Arab al-Shaykh Muhammad. It was held under the auspices of the Egyptian Council for Egyptian and Arab tribes and was attended by the heads of families in both villages as well as nearby villages in addition to General Usāmah Mitwallī, the head of the Minya Security Department and a representative of the governor of Minya.
