The Egyptian churches stressed that priests and monks are ready for martyrdom and that their destiny is in the hands of God. That came as a response to the “Conquest of Egypt” document, published exclusively by al-Watan. This document revealed the plan of some jihadī cells targeting Copts and blowing up churches.
