Many Muslims have fled the western half of the Central African Republic, out of fear of religious cleansing, according to the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, António Guterres. The UN Security Council is considering a motion to create a peacekeeping force of 12,000 soldiers to prevent the situation from deteriorating further, however Guterres said that even if an agreement is reached the troops would not arrive until the end of the summer.
