I talked to Father Yo’annis, and he narrated to me an incident that occurred to him on March 10 while he was driving back to Maghagha from Cairo. He went to Cairo for a visit to a patient at Al-Salam International Hospital. He was accompanied by the brother-in-law of this patient, Salafi Shaykh Hamdī Abd al- Fattāh and Father Michael.  He was driving his car on the desert road between Helwan–Kuraymāt at around 9.30 pm when a truck came driving near them and five men with automated weapons opened fire on the car. This resulted in the explosion of the rear tire of the car which led the car to stop.
