The Sufī tarīqahs (orders) have unanimously pledged support  Field Marshall al- Sīsī’s presidential bid. It also announced that it would start collecting powers of attorneys necessary to support the nomination. Abd al- Hādī al Qasabī, Chair of the Council of Sufī Orders, states that “the nomination of al- Sīsī comes in response to the will of the great majority of Egyptians,” he added that “his discourse is balanced” (Mustafá Hamzah, al- Tahrīr, March 28,  p. 6).  Read original text in Arabic.
