Amid very tense settings, due to the flights and mutual accusations by the two sufī leaders ‘Abd al- Hādī al Qasabī, the Shaykh of the Sufis, and head of the Islāh front, Shaykh Alā’ Abū al-‘Azāyim. The sufī elections of the Supreme Council of Sufi Orders ended two days ago (May 22)  and has resulted in the success of al- Qasabī. Abū al- Azāyim has accused al- Qasabī of election fraud. Shaykh Tāriq al- Rifā’i, head of the Rifā’iah tarīqah, stated that he shall file a lawsuit to nullify the elections accusing the participants in the election of using the “rotating card” (a way of election vote- buying), to make particular shaykhs win (Khālid Mūsá, al- Shurūq, May 24, p. 2).
