Ahmad Husnī, the President of the Union of Egyptian Youth, condemned the recent assaults on Copts in al-ʿAūr Village in al-Minyā. He said that terrorists who aim to disturb the peace in the village and disrupt Egypt’s stability committed the assaults. He added that they burned several cars and wounded several Copts who tried to repel the attack and protect the church. Taking a strong stance in a press release, he said that the government and its security forces must intervene and take decisive measures to respond to the assaults and ensure that they are not repeated again in the future.
