A 17 year old Coptic girl named Mārī ‘Imīl Habīb disappeared after school on the 29th of April 2015. Her family accused a young man named “Ahmad Muhammad al-Binā” of being behind her disappearance. Security forces immediately arrested the “bearded young-man,” and this is what news sources reported, on the basis of statements made by the family’s lawyer. However Masriyūn discovered, through a call with the young man’s lawyer, that Ahmad never had a beard, and had since been released due to lack of any evidence tying him to Mārī’s kidnapping.
