The National Women Council: Rural Leaders in Qinā qualifies to run for local council elections

The Qinā branch of the National Women Council held a workshop “Rural Leaders and Local Elections” which aimed at enabling rural leaders in running for local council elections. ʿInāyāt Ahmad, coordinator of the Qinā branch, clarified in a statement that the Council is trying to facilitate the running of women in local elections, stressing the importance of rural leaders towards this objective. In fact she said that rural leaders are seen as a link between the executive organs of the state and uncultivated women.
