The Egyptian Evangelical Church decided to temporarily postpone the deliberation of the issue concerning the ordination of women as “priestesses”. This decision follows a media controversy sparked after the convention of the Supreme Evangelical Synod that began Monday evening, to resolve the issue in the wake of Mrs. Ann Emil Zaki’s nomination for the position of a religious rank in the denomination.
