On December 9, 2019, Egyptian businessman Mounir Ghabbour called a press conference in the Sonesta Hotel in Cairo to announce that his Holy Family operetta would be performed in Paris on December 17. The press conference was well attended by Egyptian media as well as by some foreign media outlets which had been invited by Cornelis Hulsman upon Mr. Ghabbour’s request. One of the foreign correspondents who attended was Frederike Hessing of the Dutch Reformatorisch Dagblad (The Reformed Daily). Unfortunately, due to strikes in Paris, the performance never took place. Frederike Hessing was unaware of this, and the Reformatorisch Dagblad published her story. It is an interesting text about businessman Mounir Ghabbour’s aspirations and efforts.
