The Egyptian government is trying to renew funding for financial, technical, and training aide from different European Union countries to train African counties in modern ways to prevent illegal immigration and develop security, legal, intelligence, and social cooperation with the victims. These activities come from Egyptian President ʿAbd al-Fattāḥ al-Sīsī desire to preserve his regime’s image as a defender of Europe’s stability after a European plan to establish centers in Egypt, following the example of the EU-Turkey agreement.
