Junghoon Lee (Republic of Korea) undergraduate in Arabic and Spanish, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, interning between February 2019 and June 2019.

I worked as a research intern for the Center for Arab West Understanding (CAWU) from February to June 2019. I chose to come to Egypt as my university program requires its students find an internship placement relevant to their major-related region (In my case, the Middle East) for one semester. Thanks to the advice of Hyeonuk Park, a former Korean intern with CAWU who currently resides in Cairo, I was certain that working at CAWU would be an invaluable experience and become a turning point in my life. I submitted my resume and letter of motivation in November 2018, and started work in February 2019.
