the public defense of Dr. Hassan Hanafy. Dr. Abdel Mo’iti finds it cowardice that the attack is

now, since Dr. Hanafi had asked for a conference with specialists in religion and philosophy to discuss

his

opinions. Dr. Abdel Mo’iti also speaks about the internal division of the Azhar Scholars Front which has

become more radicalized in recent years, but whose president initially refused to endorse the attack on Dr.

Hanafy.
