The Coptic representative of the Wafd party in the parliament is close to become the head of opposition. He expressed his surprise at the fact that while the Brotherhood supported him in the recent elections, the ruling party supported its candidate who led a religious campaign against him. He does not agree with establishing a party to represent the Muslim Brotherhood believing that forming a religious party contradicts the constitution and stirs sectarian strife within society.
