Azhar scholars were asked about the role of debating religion in the peace process and how it could serve to stop blood shed in Jerusalem. Dr. Abdel- Mo’ti Bayoumi said that religious debate is still trying to establish itself and that religions should debate among themselves to stop this assault of which all religions do not approve. Dr. Mohammed Al-Mossaier disagreed with him saying that there is no such thing now as religious debate.
