In Britain, Ireland and America, courts examine hundreds of cases in which Catholic priests are accused of sexual misconduct. Many of those priests were stopped from serving in the Catholic Church or given imprisonment sentences. Although the Vatican pope confessed the sexual misconduct of some priests of the Catholic Church, the Church insisted that such an issue should be dealt with internally, away from the media.
