A professor of public relations at the Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University, has compiled a study titled “The mental image of Muslims in the West.” He argues that the image of Islam has not been suddenly distorted after September 11. He recommends studying the aspects of the negative image of Islam and the factors contributing to its formation with the aim of preparing for counter media campaigns.
