The British scholar and researcher Montgomery Watt sees that the merits and characteristics of Islam, the Messenger of Islam and the Holy Qur’an give Islam its unique status in comparison with other religions.


The Qur’an is unequaled because it is the direct divine revelation that was not ever corrupted or altered. Islam is a manifestation of the faith of Abraham in its original pure condition. That is why Montgomery Watt believes that Islam will be the religion of the future or at least the religion that will have the greatest contribution to the religion of the future.
