A heated dialogue between Arab intellectuals was convened in Cairo by the Arab Team for Islamic-Christian Dialogue. The dialogue revolved around the state of religion [in Egypt], democracy and reform. The significance of this dialogue lies in the way it linked issues and concepts such as citizenship, democracy and reform, which the Arab political mentality used to separate from each other in spite of the fact that they are deeply associated.
