A laundry shop owner once inquired about whether he should continue ironing women’s trousers. The fatwa came as shocking as the question is: if these trousers are worn outdoors then the laundryman should not iron them because in that case he is aiding the wrongdoing of tabaruj [make-up and other forms of beautification for women], but if women wear the trousers inside their homes or outside under a loose covering outfit, then there is nothing wrong with it!
