Magdi Khalil [see AWR, 2004. week 49, art. 7] argues, that the Muslim Brotherhood only uses democratic procedures as methods to obtain their aim, the political power of the country. He assumes that after having taken power, they would then reject the democratic system in their political life or in their agenda. In order to avoid this to happen, the author asks for international help from outside Egypt. Christiane Paulus opposes this view and explains why.
