In a final attempt to stop the showing of the film “The Passion of Christ,”

the American Jewish lobby gathered 4,000 people in front of theaters in the U.S. to protest the

contents of the film. The film poses a question that is more than two thousand years old: Who

killed Jesus Christ? The Jewish Rabbi David Sandmel of Chicago believes that the film exaggerates

in depicting the role of Jews in killing Christ, and this is what sparked a wave of anti-Semitism

according to the Rabbi.
