The Islamist writer Mr. Fahmī Huwaydī, known as “the enlightened,” is very upset about the Islamic conferences held nowadays, because they are discussing the same points every time regarding Islam’s view of extremism, the truth about the misjudged Jihād, and Islam’s protection of human rights, minorities, and women. His complaint was that the conferences only aimed at relieving the worries of the West.
