Official spokesperson for the Azhar, Rifā^cah Al-Tahtāwī, said that the Grand Shaykh was unable to meet with the Iranian Prime Minister Hamīd Bagha’ī due to schedule conflicts as Bagha’ī visited Luxor on Monday before leaving for Iran the next day and Al-Tayyeb had to give his weekly lecture at the Azhar on Tuesday.
