Hānī says he waited a whole week just to make sure he correctly understood the Patriarch’s comments about the Egyptian Catholic Church’s trip to Jerusalem. He says he disapproves of the trip, given that the current Israeli intransigence with the Palestinian people and that visiting Jerusalem is not a religious necessity in Christianity.
