Muslim Brotherhood's Irshād (Guidance) Office chose Dr. Muhammad Mursī to be the leader of the group's Freedom and Justice Party.

However, he has to give up his membership in the MB Irshād Office.

The MB Shūrá Council decided to compete over 45 to 49 percent of the parliamentary seats.

Islamist movements in general, including salafists, had launched a movement to beautify their image before the public eye.

The MB had changed their logo from two swords to two wheat ears.
