Demands to change legislation have been sparked after the humiliating incident that Archpriest Bulus ‘Uwaydah encountered at one of Cairo’s top hotels last week. The main amendment involves introducing an official uniform for priests, similar to that of the Police force and the Army and such, in order to protect the privacy of priests, prevent impersonation, and to incriminate non-uniformed priests.
