Rif'at Sayīd Ahmad is writing a study about Salafīs, claiming they are planting a culture of hatred against everyone.

Ahmad quotes Shaykh Muhammad al-Ghazālī, who says it is "as if they [Salafīs] are calling for another religion other than the Islam that we know and cherish."

Ahmad comments on controversial Salafī-inspired fatwás banning the greeting of Copts and the building of their churches, as well as calling for a boycott of Coptic hospitals.

According to the article, a Salafī leader in Alexandria, Yāsir Birhāmī, claims to have have promoted conflict against Jews, Christians, and pagans until they either "convert to Islam or...are submissive."
