Coptic Orthodox Pope Shenouda III announced celebrating 40th anniversary of his ordination as head of Egypt's Coptic Christian church next Monday (November 14, 2011).

Patriarchs from the Middle East will attend the celebration including His Holiness Abune Paulos, Patriarch and Catholicos of Ethiopia, Ichege of the See of St. Tekle Haymanot, and Archbishop of Axum, Patriarch H.H.Igantius Zakka I Iwas, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East and Supreme Head of the Universal Syriac Orthodox Church and Archbishop Kegham Khatcherian, Primate of the Armenian Prelacy in Diocese of Lebanon of The Armenian Catholicosate of Cilicia.
In his weekly sermon, Pope Shenouda warned from boycotting the parliamentary elections, noting that if Copts did not vote, some movements might be careless and say that the elections are going to take place anyways.
"I want you to vote for whoever cares for you, I do not mean a Copt, but it is important to vote for a Muslim that loves you and defend you," says Pope Shenouda in his weekly sermon.
