A conference for Coptic activists issued a 10-point guiding paper envisaging criteria for the election of a new president and emphasizing the civil nature of the state, where there will be no discrimination among the citizens.

The paper affirmed that a president of the republic must be a strong believer in the civil nature of the state and stress that Copts' rights are part of the citizenship rights without any discrimination among the citizens on the basis of religion, color, sex or ethnicity.
