"Our dead in Paradise and their dead in fire!"; "remnants (of the ousted regime), hired (thugs), and enemies of Islam and the Revolution!" These were the words of hostility with which Islamist movements and parties, such as al-Nahdah Party, mostly supporters of President Muhammad Mursī, attacked liberal and secular forces as they demonstrated at the Tahrīr Square against the President's constitutional declaration issued on November 22 that manifested Mursī's absolute power. A clear defiance and disdain were expressed toward the Tahrīr protesters accusing them of being the "enemies of the revolution" and of being agents who serve the implementation of foreign agendas." The list of accusations extend to the threat of instability and work to sabotage the state facilities, and targeting Egyptian identity to become "secular", according to one of the Islamists' spokesmen- he has been introduced as Shaykh Husnī.
