On behalf of both Christian and Muslim members of Dār al-Iftā’ (House of Iftā') International Exhibition Ceremony, Archbishop Būlus ‘Uwaydah has asked the Minister of Culture Dr. Mahmūd Sābir to support a public demand that ‘Alī Jum'ah remain in his position as Muftī of the Republic. His term as Muftī of the Republic ends officially at the end of February 2013. Participating in the celebration were Christian leaders from inside and outside Egypt, including the Archbishop of Australia.
