Dr. Ahmad Karīmah, Professor of Sharī’ah at the AzharUniversity, accused the Muslim Brotherhood of burning his car Friday morning, inside the garage of his house in ‘AyātCity. This led to its complete destruction before the fire brigades arrived. Dr. Karīmah has registered a formal complaint at ‘Ayāt Police Station. He expressed his deep sorrow for burning the Qu’rān and the sharī’ah books that he had inside it. He said that he had previously received several death threats after exposing groups that are selling out religion, namely the Muslim Brotherhood and the Salafī’s (Wā’il Fāyiz, al- Watan, April 5, p. 2).
