Bishop Kirolos of Nag’ Hamādī stated that the results of the constitutional referendum that were announced were pleasing. He also stated that he supports holding the presidential elections before the parliamentary elections.

The Coalition of Egypt’s Copts stated that they are happy with the results of the referendum. They called for amending a few articles of the Constitution to agree with the civil state including the religiously-tainted articles and the articles pertaining to liberties.
