Coptic activists cancelled their stand that was supposed to take place at Cairo airport to receive the bodies of the seven Copts that were killed in Libya. This comes after Field Marshal ‘Abd al-Fattāh al-Sīsī decided to transport the bodies to their hometown Suhag by a military plane. Safwat al-Bayādī, head of the Evangelical Community in Egypt, criticized the Egyptian government for its slow and weak response to the incident. The Egyptian Coptic Coalition asked the Egyptian government to cut off all diplomatic relations with Libya until those responsible for the crime are punished. Both the Egyptian Coptic Coalition and Najīb Jubrā’īl, head of the Egyptian Union for Human Rights, agreed that Egyptian officials who say the killings were the result of a financial dispute are lying to justify the incident, disregarding the sectarian motive behind the crime  (Mustafá Rahūmah & Lutfī Sālmān, al-Watan, Feb. 27, p. 9). Read original text in Arabic.
