Radio Española reported that Jihadists in the Sinai Peninsula are threatening to kill Christians, destroy their homes and expel them from the Sinai. In response, Coptic social organizations are calling for President Sīsī to confront these threats and to increase security at churches. Addressing the issue, President Sīsī reiterated that Christians are Egyptians who enjoy all the rights of any other citizens and that the Egyptian army is in Sinai to protect them.
