In its first statement since the Muslim Brotherhood’s General Guide Muhammad Badīʿ and a number of other Brotherhood leaders were added to the Egyptian government’s terrorist list, the group called for its members to escalate their confrontation with the government over the coming days. The statement also said that the group would not adhere to the government’s new designation, which will only serve to incite members of the Brotherhood further.
