In his interview with "Al-Musawwar" magazine, Pope Shenouda III confirmed that Israel should withdraw from occupied Jerusalem and he insisted that the Egyptian Church would not allow the Copts to visit Jerusalem until it is set free. He said that it is not important to visit the places where Jesus Christ was living, but that it was most important to uphold the principles of Christ which call for justice.
