Pope Shenouda stated that the hands of Jews are deeply indulged in the blood of thousands of Palestinians and that Jews are a people God cursed. He confirmed the Arabic identity of Al-Quds saying, "Any bargaining about Jerusalem is rejected, its internationalization is unacceptable. Agreeing on internationalizing Jerusalem means that we give up its Arabic identity and, with the passage of years, this internationalization will turn into Hebrewization."
