The Swedish authorities handed

over to Egypt Ahmed Hussein Egiza, the leader of the

Tala’a al-Fatḥ̣ organization. Egiza’s father asked

President Mubarak to accept the petition introduced to him

concerning the life sentence Egiza received in

the case of "the Albania returnees." The lawyer of the Jamā‘āt al-

Islamiya asked the Swedish authorities

to intervene and make sure that Egiza was to be treated well by the Egyptian

authorities.
