"Even if the whole nation were to disagree with Dr. Muhammad al-Barād‘ī...we do not approve or support this errant Fatwá from an errant Shaykh permitting the killing of the man," ‘Abd al-Mun‘im writes of the former head of the IAEC and Nobel Peace prize winner.

He says that it is insanity for a shaykh to "permit the shedding of al-Barād‘ī's blood, citing verses from the Qur’ān and Hadīth to propagate this deviant and errant Fatwá."   

‘Abd al-Mun‘im further says that the Fatwá's originator, known as Mahmūd ‘Āmir, aims only at "creating a media splash, since this is injurious to moderate Islam, which says it is a sin to kill ."
