Dr. Yaḥyā al-Jamāl, Deputy Prime Minister, met with a delegation of priests from Maghāghah’s Archbishopric, headed by Bishop Aghathoun, Bishop of Maghāghah and al-‘Adwah [Minya governorate], to resolve the crisis of building the new Archbishopric.

Father ‘Izrā Fanjarī, Deputy of Maghāghah’s Archbishopric, stated that al-Jamāl promised that he will resolve this problem within a week.

The archbishopric had issued a declaration before this meeting that they will continue protesting until the crisis of building the new Archbishopric is resolved, but after this meeting they decided to delay the protest for a week, which is the duration al-Jamāl determined to resolve the crisis.
