Pope Tawadros met with several Church and political leaders the day before yesterday (June 11) at Saint Bishoy (Bīshūy) Monastery in Wādī al-Natrūn. They discussed Coptic involvement in the upcoming June 30 demonstrations and Pope Tawadros emphasized that the Church will not involve itself in such matters and will continue to focus on religious issues. Rev. Dr. Safwat Bayādī said that the Church will not make itself vulnerable and that Copts are an integral part of the Egyptian community.
