The legal adviser of the Catholic Orthodox Church, Amir Ramzy, said that there is no clear representation of Christians in the assembly. He stated that important points have not been included in the draft amendments, including the claim to change the religion after reaching the legal age in order to avoid sectarian incidents, and quotas for Copts, young people, and women in parliamentary representation.

Similarly, Coptic movements did not approve. They stated that the number of female representatives in the assembly is far too small. They also criticize that the youth and the jurists are ignored. Coptic movements have criticized the absence of Coptic representation in the assembly and that seats are limited to the leaders of the three Churches, which means that the representation goes only to the Churches as religious institutions and not to the Copts themselves.
