The director of the Egyptian Center for Development Studies and Human Rights, and lawyer for the Coptic Church of Saint Mark and Pope Peter (also known as the Church of the Two Saints), Joseph Malāk, has filed a complaint to the Attorney General accusing many prominent figures, including  ‘Abd al-Fattāh al-Sīsī, Defense Minister, ‘Adly Mansūr, Interim President and Ibrāhīm Mahlab, Prime Minister, of neglect and dereliction of duty in relation to the death of seven Egyptian Copts in Libya last week. Malāk said that Copts felt marginalized and without hope, while Makram Fawzī, the brother of several victims, one of whom was shot in the neck, stated that the Egyptian consulate had failed to provide assistance for their return to Egypt, and that his local Church in al-Minyā had not communicated with him (Peter Majdī and Muhammad Majlī, al-Tahrīr, Mar. 5, p. 6). Read original text in Arabic here.
